‘Bootleg’ Surf Film premiere at the San Diego Surf Film Festival
 Surfs Up! Our clients, George Trimm and Joel Tudor of Buzz Cut Film will be showcasing their Super 8 Surf Film at the San Diego Surf Film Festival this May 8 – 12, 2013. ‘Bootleg’ will showcase Friday May 10th and features some of San Diego’s finest surf. ‘Big Thunder’ TV Show Pilot
We had ABC studios in our studio this month, working on a new pilot called, ‘Big Thunder.’ Based on the hit Disney theme ride ‘Big Thunder Railroad,’ the show is based on a 19th century New York doctor who moves to a frontier mining town, but quickly realized everything is not as it seems. We aren’t sure yet what the Super 8 film sequences will be used for, but we look forward to seeing the pilot this year!
The Watson’s Go To Birmingham – Hallmark Channel TV Movie
The new Rhonda CAM Deluxe made its first appearance on a film shoot this month by director James Chressanthis, ASC. Chressanthis has been working on a made for TV movie, ‘The Watsons Go to Birgmingham’ which will premiere on the Hallmark Channel. ‘The Watsons go to Birmingham’ is based on a novel by Christopher Curtis set in 1963. We can’t wait to see some 60’s era Super 8 scenes in this production.

A second amazing DO A SHOT film from the event at DIFF LA in Pasadena, CA. Pro8mm spent a Saturday with the students of the Art Center College of Design where they hosted their very first film festival, for students, by students! Lex and Loren Announcement Video
We love this special announcement video by our clients Lex and Loren Brinton, who decided to think outside the box to let their friends and family know they are having a baby! Film was transferred with one of our ‘throw back’ film packages in standard definition with a 1-light correction. The standard def really gives it that classic, soft look. An American Restoration of a Classic Super 8 Film Camera
 With the growing popularity of the trendy Super 8 film Rhonda CAM, Pro8mm introduces their second trendy Super 8 film camera, the Rhonda CAM Deluxe!
While similar to the original Rhonda CAM in size and style, the Rhonda CAM Deluxe is restored from a Canon 514 XL, and has a few more sophisticated features. The Rhonda Cam Deluxe has the ability to shoot at 9fps (as well as 18fps), has an F stop scale in the viewfinder with the ability to lock a given exposure, split screen focusing, a locking ring in the diopter adjustment and a larger zoom range than the original Rhonda Cam. The Rhonda CAM Deluxe comes in a variety of trendy skins in an assortment of colors and patterns. Pro8mm now also has the ability to create custom skins for clients upon request.
