All Pro8mm manufacturing, processing, scanning, and camera repairs are performed on-site at our Burbank, CA facility. Turnaround times vary by product and depend on scheduling and production volume.

Average Turn-around Times by Product & Season

Process and/or Scan Film to Digital

Standard

 The turnaround times listed below are estimates only. Our volume and schedule changes daily. Pro8mm does not guarantee turnaround times and will not issue refunds or credits for delays, regardless of circumstances. 

Regular Season — January, February, March, April, November, December

• Basic Scans & Super 8 Film Kits: 7–10 business days
• Production, Advanced & Ultimate Scans: 5–7 business days

Peak Season — May, June, July, August, September, October

• Basic Scans & Super 8 Film Kits: 10–14 business days
• Production, Advanced & Ultimate Scans: 7–10 business days

Please allow up to 72 hours after your package arrives for confirmation that your film has been logged into our system. Turnaround time is calculated from the date your film enters processing, not from the date your package is received. Not all film stocks are processed daily. Please rely on your shipping tracking number to confirm receipt. 

A Sprocket Order must be completed before we begin any scan job. If shipping film to us, please record your shipping method, tracking number, and ship date for reference.

Expedited Options

If you have a specific deadline, we recommend choosing an expedited service. Expedited processing and scanning take place during regular business hours: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM.

RUSH (1–3 Business Days) — $295 per film type

• Your job is prioritized to the top of the queue for a 1-3 day turn around processing and scanning (film must arrive by 9:30 AM).
• Turnaround depends on the size of the job, the number of formats/codecs, and file size.
• Please clearly mark “RUSH” on the outside of your package.

PRIORITY (approx. 5 Business Days) — $165 per film type

• Your job is expedited ahead of standard orders.
• Recommended when standard turnaround times are longer than usual.

CUSTOM PROCESSING (Pushes and Pulls)

• Regular Season: 7–10 business days
• Peak Season: 10-14 business days

HOME MOVIE LEGACY DISCOUNT

• Available December–February — 20% off for un-schedule turn-around time will be unscheduled, take 4-8 weeks. 

CAMERA SERVICES

• Camera Evaluations: 5-7 buisness days (schedule permitting)
  • Rush option 1-3 days $295

Discontinuing Outdated & Obscure Formats — Effective November 1, 2025

We are no longer accepting Outdated or Discontinued film formats. These older materials can be difficult to process and often produce inconsistent results. By focusing on modern formats, we’re able to maintain our equipment at the highest quality standards and provide the best possible results.
