On Sunday November 5th 10AM, Time to dust off your amateur and family home movies and bring them to the Academy Museum for a free event in the Shirley Temple Education Studio. Home Movie Day 2023 is a fun and informative event that will shine a light on your films (literally!) while adding to the greater understanding of Los Angeles history.
Bring your films for inspection or drop by to learn, create community, and have fun. Film inspections start at 10am. 8mm, Super 8, 16mm, VHS, and DVD are welcome.
Community screening starts at noon. Stay for Home Movie Day bingo and raffle prizes!

Pro8mm has been a sponsor of this event annually by scanning home movie films for virtual screenings during the lock down, and donating gift certificates for the scanning of archival material.
