As part of our on going efforts to give clients an enjoyable, user friendly and efficient purchase experience, we are so excited to introduce our new Online Digital Mastering Form.

You can now choose the specs for your digital scan from your phone or computer and submit it to us with an electronic signature!  The new form will make it so much easier and faster to communicate with us exactly what you want. So many more choice are now available on the form, such as our Rush Service upgrade, making it easier than ever for you to authorize this expedited service. 

We have made some changes to the form and our policies from older versions so please read it carefully.  The policy changes that we have made are so that we can serve you with optimum efficiency and quality. We have not raised the prices on our film, processing and scanning in several years!  In order to keep prices at bay, we need to keep improving our systems, so we can turn around your work as quickly as possible while maximizing the quality of our work.  That means that you the client will really have to know your work flow prior to sending in your job.   Our staff is available to advise you about specs so your job runs around seamlessly from start to finish

DIGITAL MASTERING POLICY 

  • Know your flow. Pro8mm has many options and combinations for your workflow. Pro8mm will not take responsibility for something your system can't handle or you don't understand how to use. If you aren't sure, ask!
  • If you need something that is not listed on the form, please inquire. Additional charges may apply.
  • Splitting packages (not sending all the film back in one batch when you buy an all-inclusive package) will incur a $35 split fee per split.

A digital mastering form is required each time you transfer with Pro8mm so we can ensure that every transfer is completed at the correct specifications. Pro Tip! if you do business with us often to the same specifications, save your PDF version of your online form on your desktop and re-print so you don't have to fill it out each time. Just re-date it so we know its a new job. 

 

FILE STORAGE DELIVERY & POLICY 

Option 1: Buy from Pro8mm: Pro8mm will select the appropriate size drive (hard drive or flash drive) for your job at the lowest cost to you. For drive descriptions and prices, please visit Pro8mm Flash / Hard Drive. All drives will be formatted XFAT for modern Mac and PC compatibility.  All Pro8mm drives are covered under the Pro8mm Damaged and Lost Goods Policy.

Option 2: Global Access: Have your files delivered to you via internet and your film mailed back to you by the post office anywhere in the world. The cost for upload and shipping delivery is calculated based on $10 per gigabyte. $20 minimum. Please use Pro8mm File Size Calculator to calculate your file size. Film will be returned via USPS mail, without a signature or insurance at no additional cost to you. For more secure shipping, you can upgrade your shipping to FEDEX on the next page of the form.

Option 3: Supply Your Own Drive: As a courtesy, Pro8mm will put your files on a hard drive you supply, as long as the following requirements are met: 

  •  Drive must be formatted by YOU to except the files we are creating for you .
  •  Drive must be large enough to fit the size of your files (please use Pro8mm File Size Calculator
  •  Drive must be compatible with a USB3 cable provided by YOU

If your drive does not meet these requirements or it is not delivered  before time of service, you will be required to buy a drive from Pro8mm, or incur a $35 service fee to sort out your drive issues.   Your drive and any data that may be on a client provided hard drive is not covered under the Pro8mm Damage or Lost Goods Policy.

 

SHIPPING POLICY   

Pro8mm offers Fed-Ex and USPS as its return shipping provider. Payment is to be covered by the client. We use standard published rates that can be found at Fedex.com or USPS.com, plus a small handling fee included in the price.

Option 1: Fedex: All Fedex shipments are shipped insured by Pro8mm with signature required. If a package is lost or stolen, you are covered under the Pro8mm Damage & Lost Goods Policy and Pro8mm will handle the claim for you. Pro8mm can NOT use client supplied Fedex account numbers. For large orders, international orders, or items of extreme value, FedEx is always recommend.

 

Option 2: USPS Mail: Pro8mm used USPS as a least expensive way of delivering a package to a customer. These shipments are done without insurance and without signature required. If you choose USPS shipping, your package is the clients responsibility  from the moment it leaves Pro8mm. If your package is lost or stolen, it is not covered in Pro8mm Damage & Lost Goods Policy and it us up to the client to contact USPS directly for any claim.

For both Fedex and USPS, duties and taxes may be applied to international orders and will be billed to the client. It is up to the client to know custom charges and policies in their particular country.

 

PAYMENT POLICY 

Electronic invoicing will be encouraged. Once your film arrives at Pro8mm, your sales representative will generate an invoice for you based on your form sections (i.e.: shipping, hard drives, rush services, etc.). Your invoice will be emailed to you. Payment is required before service work begins. We will no longer be collecting credit card information on the form, therefore we will rely on you to check your email and pay invoices in a timely manner.  Film not paid for or collected after 60 days is subject to storage fees per Pro8mm Storage Policy
